A thin layer of fog hung over Lake Garibaldi as we skied out. When we left the hut it was -24 degrees C, and I suspect there was a temperature inversion with a layer of bitterly cold air on the lake (and at the hut) with warmer air above, and the fog marking the boundary between the two layers. The height of the fog seemed to correspond to the height of The Barrier on the other side of the lake, which would make sense if the layer of cold air was pooled just above the lake and trapped by the barrier.
